Force Message Admin User
β Full access to all features and functionalities.
Force Message Power User
β Read-only access (unless the admin grants additional permissions).
β Can edit Message Channel Users.

β Read-only access (cannot create, edit, or delete without admin approval).

Creating & Managing Contacts
Create a Simple Contact Record
- Go to the Contacts tab β Click New.
- Fill in the Last Name field β Click Save.
Enable Chat Messaging for Contacts
For an Admin to send and receive messages via the Chat UI Component, ensure:
- Contact Phone β null (must include
+and country code, e.g.,+911234567890). - Consent to Contact β null.
- Message Channel β null.
- Message Opt-Out = β (Checked).
Automatic Messaging & Opt-In/Out Flow
- Upon contact creation, a default message is sent.
- If the contact replies with
startorSTART, messaging begins. - To opt out, they can reply with
stoporSTOP. - To resume messaging, they can reply with
start.
Chat UI Customization β Color Settings

Users can customize the chat UI in the Settings Panel:
1. Text Color
- Changes text color in the chat UI.
2. Chat Background Color
- Modifies the chat background color.
3. Chat Color
- Changes the outbound message color (inbound remains unchanged).
4. Contact Bubble Color
- Alters the contact bubble color for incoming messages.
5. Header Color
- Modifies the chat UI header and settings background color.
6. Additional AI Settings
- AI Suggestions: Enable/disable AI-generated suggestions for incoming messages.
Chat UI Features β Message Display & Icons
1. Message Details
Messages show channel name, timestamp (HH:mm:ss AM/PM format), and delivery status.
2. Message Icons

- Incoming Messages: Displays contact’s FirstName and LastName initials.
- Outbound Messages: Displays userβs FirstName and LastName initials.
Messaging Features & Restrictions

What Admin, Power, & Normal Users Can Send
β Messages: Up to 160 characters.
β Emojis: 18 types of emojis.
β Attachments: Upload one file at a time (no multi-select).
β Merge Fields:- Select Merge Object β Choose Merge Fields.
- If no value is found, an error message is displayed.
Scheduled Messages & Emojis
- Set messages for a future date/time.
- Rules for Scheduling:
- Date: Must be current or future, not past.
- Time: Must be present or future, not past.
Predefined Message Templates
- Open the Chat UI Component β Click Template.
- Select a pre-created template (max 126 characters).
- Templates can be edited before sending.
- New templates can be created under the “Message Templates” tab.
AI Assist Feature
- Type a message in the chatbox β Click AI Assist.
- A popup appears with text from the chatbox.
- Click PROCESS AI β AI-generated response appears.
- Click the response β It auto-populates in the chatbox.
- Alternative: Open AI Assist without text β Enter a query β Click PROCESS AI β Use the AI-generated response.
Channel Selection & Restrictions
- Users must select a channel before sending messages.
- If a channel is not selected, an error message appears.
